FAQs

What is a typical meeting like?

Typical meetings last 20-30 minutes. During this time you and an Student Alert graduate consultant will explore reasons you may be having trouble in certain courses and collaborate on possible solutions.

Am I in trouble if I receive a program notification?

The purpose of the notification is to let you know you have less than a C- in the course early in the semester, and we are here to help you get back on track and be successful. The Student Alert Program is a system of support.

Will this show up on my transcript?

Nope! Working with the Student Alert Program will not show up on your transcript.

I cannot make it to any of the office hours provided.

Our graduate consultants will work around each student's schedule. If you are unable to make it to the office during our available times, a phone or email conversation will be set up to help you reach the necessary support services.

Are parents notified about my grade?

The only people informed are you, your advisor, and the Student Alert Coordinator.
