College of Arts & Humanities

College of Arts and Humanities has tremendous performance and teaching facilities, and focuses on their remarkable scholarly and artistic community. The College is comprised of the School of Visual and Performing Arts and the School of Humanities.

College of Business & Public Management

College of Business and Public Management continually focused on academic innovation, globalization, sustainability, and community partnerships while being empowering, engaging, and entrepreneurial.  The College includes Accounting, Criminal Justice, Economics and Finance, Geography and Planning, Management, Marketing, and Public Policy and Administration.

College of Education & Social Work

College of Education and Social Work includes Teacher Education, Counselor Education, Social Work, and other select professional education programs, such as Literacy Education and Special Education. The core emphasis of all the programs in the College is to prepare students to become confident, caring, and highly effective professionals. The major goal is to have students graduate ready to be a leader in their field.

College of Health Sciences

College of Health Sciences includes the Communication Sciences & Disorders, Health, Kinesiology, Nursing, Nutrition, and Sports Medicine Departments. The College mission is to prepare and inspire health leaders, professionals, lifelong learners, and consumers through collaboration, interdisciplinary, and innovative approaches to education, research, and community service. The College values collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, diversity, ethics, equity and inclusion, health and wellness, human rights, innovation, real world problem-solving, scientific rigor, social justice, and sustainability. 

College of Sciences & Mathematics

College of Sciences and Mathematics serves the students of West Chester University by creating and delivering innovative programs and curricula in the natural, mathematical, and social sciences. The College is made up of Anthropology and Sociology, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth and Space Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science, and Psychology. The College works to create diverse, scientifically literate and technically competent graduates who are well prepared for the workforce or continued education. 

The School of Interndisciplinary Studies

The School of Interdisciplinary Studies includes African American Studies, Liberal Studies, and Professional Studies Departments.

The School of Music

The School of Music prepares students to excel as talented, creative individuals in music. The school offer bachelor's degrees in Music Education (instrument, keyboard, voice), Performance (instrument, keyboard, voice, jazz), Theory, History and Composition (theory/composition, history), Elective Studies in an Outside Field, Elective Studies with Music Therapy (in collaboration with Immaculata University), and master's degrees in Performance (Instrumental, Organ, Piano/Harpsichord, Voice, Choral, Conducting, Instrumental Conducting), Piano Pedagogy, Music Education (Performance, Research Report, Orff-Schulwerk, Kodaly, Music Technology), Music (Theory/Composition, Music History).

Campuses

 

Philadelphia Campus offers the quality, reputation, and personalization that West Chester University is known for in the heart of Center City.  WCU in Philadelphia specializes in part-time courses for busy professionals, providing undergraduate and graduate programs all under one roof in the Mellon Independent Center at 8th and Market Streets (and Philadelphia campus students receive a 10% tuition discount).  Current program offerings in Philadelphia include the Bachelor’s in Social Work, Master’s in Social Work, RN to BSN in Nursing, and the accelerated B.S. to M.S.  and M.S. programs in Criminal Justice. 

Graduate Center is located approximately 2 miles north of Main Campus within the Greenhill Corporate Park at 1160 McDermott Dr., West Chester, PA. The building houses, classrooms for the Graduate programs for the School of Business, offices for the College of Business and Public Affairs MBA and MSA programs, office of the Assistant Dean, classrooms for the Graduate College of Education and offices for the Graduate College of Education.

Exton Campus, located at 930 E. Lincoln Highway, Suite 100, is home to the department of Nursing which offers B.S., M.S.N., and D.N.P. programs.  The Exton Campus provides a clinical simulation lab for students.
