“Pitch Perfect” Competition Comes to West Chester University
Ten A Capella Singing Groups from Around the Region to Compete on Saturday, February
If you binge-watched all the Pitch Perfect movies, there is an event made for you at West Chester University this weekend!
On Saturday, February 16 at 7 p.m., a capella singing groups from around the region will take the stage in West Chester’s Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, 700 S. High Street, West Chester, to compete in the 2019 International Championship of Collegiate A Capella (ICCA) Quarterfinals, the competition that inspired the Pitch Perfect movies. Varsity Vocals presents and sells tickets at the door for $25; $20 for students with valid I.D.
Under A Rest, West Chester’s first co-ed a capella group and High Street Harmonix, West Chester’s contemporary all tenor/bass group, will face off against each other, as well as groups from Elizabethtown College, Lehigh University, Lafayette College, Millersville University, and Villanova University. The top two finishers will advance to the ICAA Mid-Atlantic Semifinals in Wilmington, Delaware on March 30, 2019.
