WCU Live! Performance Series at West Chester University Stages MARCH ReturnWCU Live

Tickets are now on sale for three March performances that are part of the WCU Live! Performing Arts Series and the President’s Speaker Series at West Chester University. All performances take place in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building, 700 S. High Street, West Chester. Information at www.wcupatix.com/wculive or call 610.436.2266.

The shows are the first staged since COVID-19 paused productions in March of 2020.

West Chester University’s Chief of Staff and Vice President for University Affairs John Villella says, “As the University continues to require mask-wearing inside all facilities as well as follow guidelines recommended by the CDC, we invite members of our surrounding community to return to our campus to enjoy family-friendly and excellent entertainment offerings. Many of our best seats in the house are available and tickets make the perfect holiday gift.”

n Friday, March 4 at 7 p.m., Johnny Peers & The Muttville Comix will leave audiences howling with laughter with his personality plus canines. Starring mostly rescue dogs Johnny leads through challenging and hilarious tricks, this show has been hailed as “a truly funny, slapstick dog act.” 

Saturday, March 12 at 4 p.m. welcomes back Artrageous, a one-of-a-kind “all arts” show that will amaze with its high energy and heart-pounding action as arts and music collide. Often described as Blue Man Group meets Picasso, this show is perfect for every age.

 On Saturday, March 19 at 8 p.m. Broadway’s Christopher Jackson (George Washington in Hamilton) will speak with WCU President Christopher Fiorentino as part of the President’s Speaker Series. Jackson shares his remarkable journey from a small town in Illinois to performing for a constantly packed house on Broadway. He reveals lessons he’s learned throughout his career and the mentors, mantras and moments that made a difference, as well as behind-the-scenes information from Broadway’s biggest hit.  

All faculty, staff, students, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask which covers their nose and mouth when indoors. Selecting one of the following options will comply with the University’s mask requirements: a surgical mask, a surgical mask with a cloth mask worn over it, or a KN95 mask (or the equivalent).
