WCU Welcomes Alumni Returning to Campus for Alumni Weekend
Every year, West Chester University alumni return to campus to enjoy socializing,
soaking in Golden Rams school spirit, and learning what’s new at WCU during Alumni Weekend, taking place this year Thursday, April 24, through Sunday, April 27.
Festivities kick off with Banana Night on Thursday, April 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Levante Brewing (see schedule below for details and addresses).
On Friday, the West Chester University Alumni Association (WCUAA) hosts a kick-off party ($25 for adults at the door) prior to the annual spring scrimmage football game (free and open to the public) at Farrell Stadium on South Campus. Wear your best WCU purple and gold gear to compete in the “Biggest Fan” contest, judged by Rammy and voted on by the crowd.
Other Golden Rams athletics teams are also competing on campus this weekend and admission is free. Plus, alumni can participate in men’s and women’s alumni soccer matches at noon on Saturday, April 26.
WCUAA Alumni Weekend events are free unless otherwise noted. See below for highlights from the schedule. Check out the website and handles for information and updates.
All student lots are free on the weekend, including after 4 p.m. on Friday. The Student Recreation Center Garage is a daily parking garage with a daily fee of $1.50 per hour.
The WCU Campus Store will be open Friday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on both Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
