Student Veterans Group to Host 9/11 Memorial Event
On Thursday, September 11, WCU’s Student Veterans Group (SVG) will host a memorial ceremony on the Quad to honor and commemorate those who lost
their lives and those who were forever changed by the events of September 11, 2001.
Sophia Feliciano, SVG president and a United States Marine Corps Veteran, said they will dedicate and display a wreath to commemorate 9/11. SVG has invited the local V.F.W. Post 106 of West Chester and the Marine Corps League of Downingtown. A West Chester student vocalist will be sing “Amazing Grace.”
Former SVG president John Crouser will be the guest speaker. A United States Marine Corps veteran, he was at the Pentagon the day that it was hit.
Rain location will be Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall.
