Fall 2021 Plans to Open In-Person

November 20, 2020

Dear WCU Community,

I have good news to share about West Chester University’s fall 2021 semester plans. Many will be pleased to know that West Chester University is currently planning for a return to in-person, on-campus operations that adhere to public health protocols for the fall 2021 semester, including all traditional and USH residence halls. The last two weeks have resulted in very encouraging news regarding the effectiveness and availability of a vaccine as early as this spring. We have also seen improvements in the availability, price, and reliability of rapid testing. Fall 2021 will be our time to come back together again. Until then, continuing remote instruction through spring 2021 will help our WCU community remain safe while students earn credits for academic degrees in an uninterrupted manner.

I know that our world’s current conditions have not made things easy as many of you juggle school, work, and increased family responsibilities. As you enter the holiday season, we ask that you use good judgement and help us make our communities as safe and COVID-free as possible.

Sincerely,

Christopher Fiorentino
President
