2026-2027 Returning Student Housing Application

The 2026-2027 Returning Student Request to House Application opens on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 12:00pm (EST) for current students interested in living in WCU Managed Housing or USH Affiliated Housing during the 2026-2027 academic year.

WCU Managed and USH Affiliated have two separate applications, processes, and fees. Both providers charge a separate $200, non-refundable fee to secure housing. WCU Managed Housing will ask students to pay the $200 fee upon securing housing during the 2026-2027 Returning Student Housing Selection Process. USH Affiliated Housing will ask students to pay the $200 fee upon completion of an application.

WCU Managed Housing

The WCU Managed Request to House Application will open at 12:00pm (EST) on October 27, 2025 and will close at 4:00pm (EST) on November 7, 2025.

The WCU Managed Request to Housing Application will be available in RamPortal-> Housing and Dining Card -> Application for On-Campus Living at the top of the page.

Students who submit a WCU Managed Request to House application during the open application period (10/27/25 - 11/7/25) will be able to participate in the WCU Managed Returning Student Selection Process and receive a randomly generated time slot to register for housing on November 24, 2025, or November 25, 2025. Housing is not guaranteed during this process and is based on availability. Students will select housing in the order of their randomly generated time slot assignment; earlier time slots select first.

USH Affiliated Housing

Returning WCU students may request housing through a lottery process. We strongly encourage students to follow the process below for the best chance at securing housing.

Housing Lottery

Opens: October 27, 2025, at 12:00 PM
Closes: November 7, 2025, at 12:00 PM

Students who submit a Request for Housing during this period will be entered into the housing lottery.

You may choose to enter the lottery as an individual or as part of a roommate group. All requests submitted during the lottery phase will have an equal chance of selection.

Housing offers will be sent by email on November 17, 2025.

Open Requests

After the lottery closes, students may continue to submit housing requests on a rolling basis through the start of the academic year.

Requests will be processed in the order they are received, based on available space. If housing is full, your name will be added to the waitlist.

The USH Affiliated Housing application will be available in the USH Resident Portal.
