BIOGRAPHY
Jason Wozniak holds a PhD in Philosophy and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
AREA OF INSTRUCTION
Currently, Jason teaches in, and coordinates, the Transformative Education and Social Change master's program. He also teaches critical university studies courses that focus on higher education history and philosophy. His research focuses on critical theory analyses of financial debt and education theory and practice.
Publications and Professional activities
Jason has published widely in both North and South America. He is co-author of Lend and Rule: Fighting the Shadow Financialization of Public Universities (2024). In addition to publishing in academic journals, Jason has published in, and guest edited, special issues on debt and education for Rethinking Schools and In These Times. Jason founded and Co-Directs The Latin American Philosophy of Education Society. He is currently finishing a book manuscript on student debt for Johns Hopkins Press (Forthcoming).
