Biography

Gabriel Pulido, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Higher Education in the Educational Leadership and Higher Education Administration department at the West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Pulido earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education with minors in African American and Diaspora Studies and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Penn State University. Additionally, he has an M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado and a B.A. in Critical Race & Ethnic Studies and Latin American & Latino Studies from University of California, Santa Cruz. Dr. Pulido’s academic and creative writing often intersect and find a home at the center of healing. Centering joy, love, and resilience, he uses both creative and academic writing to work towards a collective liberation. When not writing, Dr. Pulido can be found near a body of water dreaming of becoming just as free.

Dr. Pulido teaches graduate courses in Educational Leadership and Higher Education Administration, particularly courses affiliated with the Master of Science in Higher Education Policy & Student Affairs and the Doctor of Education.
