Bringing Music Industry to the Classroom

  • August 2-4 will be in Person at the ArtsQuest Complex in Bethlehem, PA for the MusikFest Music Industry and Education Conference
  • August 5-7 will be online

This immersive graduate seminar empowers educators with to connect music industry practices to classroom curricula through hands-on, student-centered learning. In partnership with the Musikfest Industry and Education Conference, this course includes in-person, site-specific workshops presented as part of the conference and asynchronous work connected to student goals in commercial music studies. Through hands-on and collaborative work, students will explore current trends in industry practices, classroom partnerships in the music industry, and curricular support for developing and executing music industry aligned courses and programs.

MUE 596 is a hybrid course that will participate in the MusikFest Music Industry and Education Conference in Bethlehem, PA from August 2nd – 4th. The remainder of the course will take place on line.  A more detailed course schedule is forthcoming.
