The Psychology Department at West Chester University offers an M.S. program in Psychology with two concentrations: Industrial/Organizational Psychology and General Psychology, a graduate certificate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and an APA accredited PsyD program in Clinical Psychology. Our programs are designed to prepare all students for lifelong education and participation in an increasingly diverse society. We have a rich mixture of faculty with both theoretical and applied research interests. We prepare our graduate students for a wide variety of career options, including those in teaching, research, and services delivery.

Her role spans strategic advising on HR compliance, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations for clients ranging from small businesses to mid-sized companies. Each day varies but typically includes addressing urgent HR issues, conducting workforce analyses, and collaborating on strategic goals. Between client meetings, she develops policies, manages investigations, and facilitates training, all while staying current on HR trends. Flexibility and strong prioritization are essential as she ensures her work aligns with each client’s unique objectives.

    Matthew is a Human Capital Consultant specializing in change management and employee training. His current focus is supporting a state government’s implementation of a new Medicaid software system, where he creates training modules, job aids, and readiness assessments to ensure smooth adoption. His typical day includes developing communications, hosting hypercare sessions, and answering questions to guide employees through the system transition. Alongside client work, Matthew leads change management bootcamps and manages the Industrial-Organizational Psychology Community of Practice within his firm, bringing dynamic expertise to every project.

    Justin is a Senior People Analytics Manager who crafts and implements a People Analytics strategy aligned with organizational goals. His role involves analyzing key workforce metrics like diversity, retention, and engagement to provide business leaders with data-driven insights. Since People Analytics is a new area within his company, Justin focuses on automating manual reporting processes to improve efficiency, allowing for deeper analytical work. Recently, he’s concentrated on reducing employee turnover and developing a dynamic dashboard for managers to access talent insights. Justin also collaborates closely with HR leaders to address their challenges, making complex workforce data accessible and impactful.

    Christopher is a Clinical Psychology Psy.D. student at West Chester University, where he integrates clinical training with research in clinical psychology. As a Graduate Assistant, he supports the campus clinic and contributes to the Moon Shot for Equity, promoting an equitable experience for BIPOC students. His research in Dr. Roche’s lab explores how personality traits and sleep patterns influence mental health, building on trauma-focused work in Dr. Brumley’s lab. Balancing coursework, clinic support, and research, Christopher’s days are full, requiring flexibility and dedication to meet the demands of his impactful role.

    Current Role: HR Advisor Consultant, SAP

    As an HR Advisor Consultant, Antonella provides expert support to leaders across Latin America on complex HR topics, including leadership development, compensation planning, and performance management. Her day typically involves managing a variety of leader cases, coordinating through a ticketing system or direct scheduling. Although her daily structure remains consistent, the specific challenges she addresses vary widely, offering a dynamic and evolving workload. Antonella also contributes to strategic projects to enhance HR services, foster team learning, and unify support under the OneHR mission, requiring adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement.

    Julia is a PhD student in the Communication program and a doctoral fellow at Drexel University. Her primary responsibilities include serving as a teaching assistant and conducting research. In addition to these roles, she is also engaged in attending classes as part of her doctoral studies.
