The Master of Social Work program at West Chester University is now offering the same quality education in Center City Philadelphia. Check out this video to hear from some of our students and see our facilities at PASSHE Center City.
The priority application deadline was March 1, 2016, for classes beginning in the fall of 2016.
We will continue to process applications after this date, but early applicants have a greater chance of admission. You are encouraged to apply early and have all required documents, including recommendations and transcripts from all schools attended, submitted as early as possible. Completed applications are reviewed as they are recieved. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
The MSW Program is designed to meet the needs of students who are often working and caregiving while attending graduate school. At the Philadelphia campus, all required MSW courses are offered in the evening and can be completed in two academic years. We offer students the flexibility to take courses on a part-time basis and complete the degree in three or four years.
Field education requirements are carried out in the second and third years of the MSW Program, concurrent with coursework. For students working full-time in addition to attending school, there are some opportunities for employment-based field placements as well as extended field experiences, that requireworking at the field site over breaks and/or into the summer, with a reduced requirement for weekly hours.
If you have any questions about WCU or the application process, we're here to help. Don't hesitate to get in touch with MSW Recruiter Kyle Murray at kmurray@wcupa.edu or 610-738-0339 if you have questions.
