West Chester University in Philadelphia

WCU in Philadelphia is located in the Lits Building (the large building taking up the block of Market St. between 7th and 8th Streets) at 

• The Academic and Classroom Suite is located on the concourse/lower level of the building. Enter through the glass doors in between the escalators across from Five Below.
• The Administrative Suite is also located on the concourse/lower level two doors down from Dunkin Donuts.

Monday - Thursday, 9 AM - 9:30 PM

Septa Subway:

Take either the Market-Frankford or Broad Street Line and exit at the 8th Street Station. The Lits Building is connected to the Station. Take the stairs near Dunkin Donuts to enter the building. The Administrative Suite is two doors down, and our Academic Suite is further down the hall across from Five Below.

Regional Rail:

Exit at Jefferson Station. All Regional Rail Lines stop at this station.

Bus: 

Route 17 provides service along Market Street. Exit at 8th Street and enter the Lits Building. Route 47 runs along 8th Street providing access to our building, as well.

PATCO:

Take the PATCO High Speed Line to Philadelphia and exit at the 8th & Market Street Station. You can enter the Lits Building by utilizing the stairway near Dunkin Donuts. The Administrative Suite is two doors down, and our Academic Suite is further down the hall across from Five Below.

FROM THE SOUTH

• Take I-95 North. Follow the signs for “Central Phila./I-676” (Exit 22).
• Exit 20 toward Washington Avenue
• Left onto South Columbus Blvd
• Right toward Market Street
• Left toward Market Street
• Right onto Market Street
• Destination on right

FROM THE NORTH

Via the NJ Turnpike:

• Take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 4.
• Take Rt. 73 north to Rt. 38 west to US 30.
• Take US 30 west over the Ben Franklin Bridge to I-676. Follow the signs for local traffic (this is Vine Street).
• Slight left onto Vine Street
• Left at 2nd cross street onto North 8th Street
• Left onto Market Street
• Destination on left

Via I-95:

• Take I-95 South. Follow the signs for “Central Phila./I-676” (Exit 22).
• Exit 20 toward Washington Avenue
• Left onto South Columbus Blvd
• Right toward Market Street
• Left toward Market Street
• Right onto Market Street
• Destination on right

FROM THE WEST

• Take I-76 (Pennsylvania Turnpike) to the Valley Forge Exit (Exit 326).
• Follow signs to Philadelphia I-76 East (Schuylkill Expressway).
• Remain on I-76 East(Schuylkill Expressway) for about 25 miles until you see signs for Central Philadelphia (Exit 344)
• Continue on 676 East (Vine Street Expressway) to the 8th Street Exit. Make a right onto 8th Street.
• Left onto Market Street
• Destination on left

 

FROM THE EAST

• Take Atlantic City Expressway to 42 North.
• Follow 42 North to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge (Rt. 676), crossing into Philadelphia.
• Follow the signs for local traffic (this is Vine Street).
• Slight left onto Vie Street
• Turn left at the 2nd cross street onto North 8th Street
• Turn left onto Market Street
• Destination on left

Parking Lot instructions for 8th and Market

The 8th and Market lot uses the parking app, Metropolis. Here's how it works

First, Register your phone or device. Please add your license plate and credit card. (You only need to do this once.)

The application will send you a text message when your parking visit starts. Use this link to access your parking session. Before leaving campus, scan the QR code at the front desk to apply our discount. 

Just drive in and drive out.  No tickets, No waiting. Our Promise.  Your parking session is automatically charged to your credit card when you exit the parking lot.

The discounted rates are as follows for 8th and Market St. lot:

• Monday through Friday (enter after 3pm) = $7
  Saturday = $7

The Parkade at 8th and Arch is operated by PPA and uses a voucher system. Here's how it works:

When you enter the garage, you will receive a QR ticket. When you enter the Philly Center, you must ask for a PPA voucher from the front desk. When you leave the garage, you will scan your QR ticket and then our voucher. The discount will be applied. Tap or insert your credit card to pay and exit. 

You may park in the parkade anytime up to 12 hours for $7. discounted rates are as follows for Parkade on 8th Street:
