Will I get the same quality education that I would receive at West Chester University’s main campus?

Yes! When taking classes at West Chester University’s Philadelphia Campus, you will have the same access to West Chester University’s faculty and you will be expected to complete the same assignments as your main campus counterparts.

Will tuition at the Philadelphia Campus be more than tuition at the main campus?

Students who take courses solely at our Philadelphia location will receive a 10% discount on their tuition!

Will all the classes I need to complete my degree or certificate program be available at the Philadelphia campus?

Yes, all required courses will be offered at the Philadelphia campus.

I am a working professional, will classes be held at times that are convenient for my work schedule?

Yes! Almost every student taking courses our Philadelphia campus is a working student like yourself. All courses meet once per week in the evening. This allows our students to come straight from work and not worry about missing class. Our MSW program requires field placement, which makes it difficult for working professionals to complete their MSW degree.

What advantages does the WCU in Philadelphia campus offer over other local universities?

West Chester University in Philadelphia provides its students with a great, affordable education in Center City. Also, unlike some of other local universities, many students at our Philadelphia campus are working professionals. This allows students to network with others in their field while learning the skills they need to move forward in their career.

Who do I talk to about scheduling my courses, getting student supports such as writing help, or answering general questions about the curriculum?

WCU faculty are dedicated to providing you with individualized advisement and assistance. We will want for you to meet with your faculty advisor each semester in order to schedule for the next semester, and will not clear you to schedule without a face-to-face meeting. During that time, we can provide professional and academic advisement, and connect you with any support services you may need. While you will always have access to the faculty in the classroom, advisement for the Philadelphia site will be provided by the Chair of each program.
