Applications are accepted on a rolling admissions basis. As completed applications are received, they are reviewed, decisions made, and the applicants notified. B.S. Criminal Justice

Grow personally and professionally by pursuing your Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice at West Chester University.Our high quality program is available in a traditional 4 year format or an accelerated format (less than 4 years).  With flexible class offerings, the B. S. in Criminal Justice is designed to meet the needs of student’s who are working and care-giving while attending school.

Graduates of WCU’s Criminal Justice Program go on to represent WCU in a variety of criminal justice positions ranging from police officers to victim advocates.The program remains on the cutting edge of the discipline with courses taught by experienced professionals with advanced educational credentials.Experienced in corrections, courts of law, gang violence, offender rehabilitation, policing, probation & parole, and public policy, WCU faculty teach cutting edge course related to contemporary issues impacting the Criminal Justice System.

B.S.W. Social Work

The BSW program in Philadelphia is designed for students who have completed at least 30 credits and have an overall 2.5 GPA. Courses are offered in the late afternoon and early evening, on a part-time basis. In order to complete the part-time program in fewer years, BSW students in Philadelphia can complete their junior field practicum during the summer. Students that need to complete required general education courses not offered at the Philadelphia campus can do so at community college through dual enrollment or the WCU main campus.

The BSW program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Social work graduates are prepared for entry-level generalist social work practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. The Program’s mission emphasizes strengths-based practice, critical-thinking, cultural competence, and advocacy for social and economic justice.

BSN for the Registered Nurse

***All application materials must be submitted by May 2nd to be considered for fall 2016 admission.***

The RN-BSN Fast Track is specially designed for licensed Registered Nurses to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. You must currently be a licensed Registered Nurse (or near graduation for an ADN program) to enroll in this program. The BSN program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) through 2019.

The RN-BSN Program will begin accepting applications for the Fall 2016 semester on February 1st. Please contact Dr. John Taylor, Philadelphia Campus Coordinator, at jtaylor3@wcupa.edu for more information about the RN-BSN Program or future admission.

The BSN program in Philadelphia
Registered Nurses wishing to pursue the BSN degree at the Philadelphia location must apply and be accepted as a West Chester University Student. Regular admission requires a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 for the RN-BSN program.
is designed for students that have completed the majority of their general education credits and are looking to complete the undergraduate nursing degree. Students need 120 credits to graduate with a BSN degree, 30 credits must be taken at WCU; 22 of these credits are required WCU nursing credits. Courses will be offered in evening, one night a week to accommodate the RN population, starting in the Fall of 2015.
