West Chester University's Master of Arts in Communication Studies program is now in Center City! This flexible, part-time 36-credit program will make you a better communicator and more effective leader with courses in persuasive communication, business communication, public relations, and public speaking. Looking for a concentration? Add a certificate in Business Administration or Public Administration to your master's degree without any additional credits or time. WCU's Center City campus offers the same quality education at a convenient location and 10% discount.

The program is well suited for working professionals and offers evening courses. Classes meet in state of the art classrooms at the Mellon Independence Center, 701 Market Street. All courses for the 36 credit degree can be completed at the Philadelphia campus.
Requirements: Official transcripts from all colleges attended. The undergraduate cumulative GPA should be at least 3.0. Exceptions are possible. Standardized GRE general test scores in two of the three tested areas in at least the 50th percentile. Students with an undergraduate GPA of a 3.5 or higher are exempt from taking the GRE test. The MSW program in Philadelphia is a part-time MSW program. Classes meet one evening per week in state of the art classrooms at the Mellon Independence Center. Academic standards and requirements of the MSW program in Philadelphia are consistent with the West Chester program. All required courses (54 credits) must be completed at the Philadelphia campus. However, students may take elective credits at either the Philadelphia or West Chester University campus.
Requirements: Official transcripts from all colleges attended, 3-5 page personal statement, two letters of recommendation. Specific information on MSW Program admissions requirements can be found on the Master of Social Work website.

The Master of Science in Criminal Justice provides a high-quality, advanced education to part-time students (2-3 year program). The program is well-suited to working professionals and offers evening courses and selected online electives. Classes meet one evening a week in state of the art classrooms at the Mellon Independence Center, 701 Market Street. Academic standards and requirements of MS Criminal Justice program in Philadelphia are consistent with the West Chester program. Professors are seasoned professionals in their field of expertise and offer practical as well as academic excellence in the classroom. The program also serves as the basis for those planning to pursue doctoral degrees.
