Internal Transfer Information

For those students who wish to transfer into Early Grades Preparation and Middle Grades Preparation

Students seeking internal transfer must have earned a minimum of 27 college–level credits with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80. Students with 48 or more earned credits must have achieved passing scores, as established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), on Basic Skills Testing and must have completed college-level studies in English composition (3 credits).

Application materials will be accepted from April 27th – May 7th, 2015 (for students eligible at the conclusion of Spring 2015)

Please drop off the following materials to the graduate assistants in Rec. 105A or 105B. Check the 105A door for specifics on day/time locations.

1. A Change of Major form signed by your advisor and your current department chair. On your form, you must indicate whether you wish to transfer into Early Grades Preparation (EGP) or Middle Grades Preparation (MGP).
2. A copy of your Basic Skills Test results–required for students with 48 or more credits.
3. Students applying for the dual major should submit the "Add Dual Major" form with their name, ID #, and signature. DO NOT have your current advisor or department chair sign this form.

Additional materials will not be accepted (e.g., personal letters).

Students will receive e-mail notification of their admission status by June 10th, 2015.

Students not eligible for the April/May transfer window may apply during the next admission window: Early September 2015 for Spring 2016 admission.
