Dr. Monica Lepore

Education

Physical Education (B.S), Special Education (M.Ed.), and Adapted Physical Education (M.S, & Ed.D.).

Service

She is the coordinator of the Physical Education for Students with Disabilities (PEID) Minor, the Adapted Physical Activity club, and the 4 Service Learning Community Program. Her specialty areas are: Adapted Aquatics, Differentiations for Adapted Physical Activity, directing CampAbilitiesPA@WCU (sports training for children with visual impairments), and training coaches for Special Olympics programs. Dr. Lepore has been a faculty member at WCU for over 30 years.

Interests

Dr. Lepore enjoys mentoring WCU students in collaborative work with community children with disabilities, spending time with her family, doing sprint triathlons, and teaching children with disabilities to be empowered through sport.
