Learn from successful entrepreneurs and executives about the startup, acquisition, and growth of businesses. David Gansky, WCU alumnus, founded and served as CEO of US Maintenance Company. Over a period of 20 years, he built the company into the largest provider of maintenance services for national retail chains in the US, with revenues in excess of $500 million. Following the sale of US Maintenance, Mr. Gansky founded Longport Capital, a private equity firm, which acquired Shields Business Solutions in 2011. Richard Grossman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business and has extensive experience in the consumer products manufacturing. He served as President of Delair Group, LLC. He currently serves as the CEO of Shields Business Solutions, a company, which for over 40 years, has provided best in class First Line and Hardware Services for ATM manufacturers.

Why and How to Write a Business Plan

Why and How to Write a Business Plan is presented by Chester County SCORE, co-sponsored by the Henrietta Hankin Library and will be held on February 16 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Hankin Library. A business plan is a necessity today, whether starting a new business or growing an existing business. The seminar will take the mystery out of why you should have a business plan and provide you with an outline of what a good business plan should include. Typically your business plan should describe how you will operate your business, market you product and services, and conclude with a three-year financial projection of your anticipated income and expenses. In other words will my business be profitable.
