Laptops Loans

Students may borrow a PC or Mac laptop for the entire semester that they will be student teaching. The laptop is loaned at the beginning of the semester, and returned during final exam week.

iPad Loans

The iPad you are borrowing is for student use in coursework and for professional use as a Teacher Candidate. It cannot be synced to your personal computer to load music, etc. This ability has been disabled by the administrator. Never reset your iPad by choosing erase all content and settings! By choosing this option, all apps will be deleted, and you will be charged for their replacement.

Each student is responsible for doing the following things before turning in their iPad after its loan period:

1. Back up data that you wish to keep
2. Delete all pictures, videos, projects, notes, iMessages, alarms, etc...
3. If you used iMovie, delete all projects within iMovie
4. Sign out/unlink accounts from apps like Dropbox, Facebook, Netflix, Youtube, iMessage, etc...
5. In settings>sign out of Apple ID/Accounts: iCloud, iTunes and App Store, Mail, Contacts, Calendars
6. Clear your Safari browsing history
7. Remove password/lock
8. Clean the iPad screen
9. Wrap the charger cord and secure it with a rubber band

Software

Both PC and Mac laptops that student teachers borrow have the following software pre-installed:

• Microsoft Office (PCs have Office 2010 & Macs have Office 2011)
• SMART Notebook collaborative learning software
• Inspiration
• Adobe Reader
• Mozilla Firefox
• Pages, Keynote and Numbers (Macs Only)
