Dr. Brian J. Halsey is a Professor of Business Law and the Director of the MBA program at West Chester University. He earned his Juris Doctor at Widener University School of Law and his Master of Laws at Villanova University School of Law. He is past President of the Mid-Atlantic Academy of Legal Studies in Business (MAALSB) and past Editor-In-Chief of the Atlantic Law Journal. He is also holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional Certification and is a current member of the Pennsylvania Bar and the Bar of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and a former member of the New Jersey Bar. His teaching interests are primarily in the corporate law areas of tax, business and business transition planning and the intersection of law and technology. He has over 20 published academic articles to his credit in various journals such as the International Research Journal of Applied Finance, the Southern Law Journal, the Rocky Mountain Law Journal, the Midwest Law Journal, the Journal of Financial Service Professionals, the Atlantic Law Journal, and the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. He is the author of Legal Environment: Business Law and Business Entities, a business law textbook. He has also served on the West Chester Borough Planning Commission. He has been teaching in traditional, online and hybrid college environments since before the turn of the century, making him one of the most experienced online faculty in the country.
Alana Luttermoser is the MBA Program Coordinator at West Chester University. She earned both her M.S. in Higher Education Counseling/Student Affairs and Bachelor of Social Work degrees from the University. Her professional experience includes working with individuals from a variety of ages, cognitive abilities and behavioral backgrounds in the home, school, and community. Aside from her wide variety of skills in the Counseling field, Alana also brings her proficiency in advisement and academic planning from the time she spent as the Assistant Director of Student Services and as Assistant Director of the M.A. Counseling Psychology program in the Schools of Graduate and Professional Studies at Rosemont College. Alana's ability and skill to interact with students also stems from her experience teaching for the undergraduate Psychology department. In addition to her wide array of knowledge and expertise, Alana is also a member of the American College Counseling Association (ACCA), American Counseling Association (ACA) and Pennsylvania College Personnel Association (PCPA).
Lori Lebus is the Administrative Assistant for the MBA program at West Chester University. Lori brings to the program a wide array of skills from her prior education and work experience. She earned her Associate Degree from the Keystone Business School and has honed her talents working for a variety of past employers. Most recently, Lori worked for West Chester University in the Office of the Registrar where her specialty was transfer credits and transcripts. She also worked with newly admitted students, faculty and staff. Lori also brings her extensive organizational, administrative, and planning expertise to the program.
